Daigo Matsui Winner’s Comment

Huwie Ishizaki’s “Kabin No Hana” sings about pure affection. I wanted to share this emotion with as many people as possible by making a movie about a family who is preparing for a daughter’s wedding ceremony. The little brother of the bride experiences mixed emotions. He wants to celebrate with her but doesn’t know how to deal with his sadness. The father tries hard to convince her that they will be fine without her. The daughter is worried about them, but it is hard for her to show how she cares about them. The family think about their late mother, who used to cheer them up. At the same time, a waitress at the wedding hall struggles to deal with her mother even though she only care s about her daughter’s happiness. When one cherishes another, they unknowingly affect others and make them happy. We easily forget such a fundamental thing. I illustrated the characters who are moved by the song because I believe you can understand the charm of the song this way.

Huwie Ishizaki plans to release the album “Kabin no Kana,” his first in three years. In the fall, he will make his debut as an actor in the film “Azumi Haruko wa Yukue Fumei (Azymi Haruko Goes Missing,)” based on Mariko Yamauchi’s short novel.
