In this film collage project, directors who are selected by SSFF & ASIA 2017 film fascinating and charming pictures of Tokyo.

Tokyo Cinema Ensemble 2017

Three directors nominated in official competitions were selected by SSFF & ASIA to shoot elements that visualize Tokyo’s charm. Here we present three collage videos.Emir Ezwan from Malaysia depicts "High Tech" images of Tokyo; Or Sinai from Israel introduces Tokyo's "Nature" , while Laurent King from USA helms the theme of "Tradition."

Emir EzwanMalaysia

Emir Ezwan’s career as a visual artist began after a teenage love affair with the world of graphic novels. Emir’s true calling has always been in the field of multimedia and the visual arts. He is co-founder of both design studio Karyalabs (2007), and the financial service tech startup Billplz (2009). In 2012 Emir co-founded Entropy with fellow visual artist Sufie, specializing in visual storytelling.

Or SinaiIsrael

Or Sinai graduated the Jerusalem Sam Spiegel Film School in 2013. Her debut film "Two”, participated in the 2011 Jerusalem Film Festival and was screened at the International Women's Film Festival in Yerevan, Armenia. “Violeta Mi Vida", her documentary film, received the Alex Bernstein Award at the 2012 Jerusalem Film Festival and the Discovery Award at the Perm Film Festival, Russia. "Anna" is her diploma film.

Laurent KingUSA

Laurent King is a graduate of the FAMU National Film School in Prague in directing. He perfected his skills in music videos, commercials and digital web campaigns, parallel to second unit directing of features (The Prey, directed by Eric Valette) and high-end TV Drama (Braquo/Canal+). He is currently developing a web-series and a feature film.
