Toshiro Sonoda / Born in 1965, Toshiro works as a director of commercials, films, and music videos. His short film “SHIROTAKU” swept the 2005 SSFF winning the Best Short Award in the National Category, as well as the Super Dry Award and the Governor of Tokyo Award. The film has been highly praised in and out of Japan and screened at the New York International Independent Film Festival and the Russia Feature Shorts Film Festival.

Hiroshi Okuda / While studying at the Tokyo Arts College , Okuda entered “Grandma” in the Puppet Animation Festival. The festival helped him gain an admirable reputation as an artist and opened the doors for him to study film overseas through NYU’s Exchange Program. Prior to graduation, he completed the film “Prisoner”, which won many awards due to his original and unique style expressing humor, solitude, and grief. Even upon changing his style to live action, he is proving to be a talented director through his outstanding works. |

Atsuhiko Watanabe / Atsuhiko Watanabe is a Japanese filmmaker living in Paris (born in Tokyo in1970). Since 2000, he has created short films about dance and theater. His first dance-video, “A”, was exhibited in Moriyu Gallery in Kyoto and in Osaka Art in Casa. The revised version “Adagio” won a prize at the Videoforme Festival in Clermont-Ferrand , France . In 2004 he graduated from Le Fresnoy, Studio National des Arts Contemporains (France), where he made short films such as “Alienation” (Locarno Festival 2003) and “Resonance of Tears” (TV5 Tiger Cub Competition, Rotterdam Festival 2005). |
