Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2013

Ibaraki Prefecture and Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia have been collaborating together to produce two wonderful short films shot in Ibaraki, depicting the allure of Ibaraki and of its culture.

To develop this collaboration further, Ibaraki has established the award "Ibaraki Short Film Award" that will be given to a short film that successfully introduces Ibaraki through visual images.
On June 12, the Mayer of Ibaraki, Mr. Masaru Hashimoto and the Founder of SSFF & ASIA, Tetsuya Bessho attended the press conferrence to announce the collaboration and express their enthusiasm.

1. About the award
Short films under 25 minutes, set/shot in Ibaraki Prefecture. Not only the technical aspects in short films are great, but also they must successfully show an allure of Ibaraki.
Call for entries will start from August 1, 2013 and the winning short will be announced and shown during the 16th edition of Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia.
