Brillia Short Shorts Theater: Save the Earth! Competition

For this program, the award winner dir. Meghna Gupta of "UNRAVEL" made an appearance.
"UNRAVEL"
Dir. Gupta was a translater for the research project on recycling factory in India. She made "UNRAVEL" with funds from European reseach assosiation. Whole project inspired her to make this documentary. According to her, Indian society is now growing but still there is a gap between rich and poor, and rich people are following Western culture and consumption habit as seen in this film. People in India imagine the western world by looking at used clothings that arrive from western countries.
Dir. Gupta commented that she has been working on documentaries but would like to try making fiction films sometime soon, and also is extremely greatful to have her first short film to be selected and screened here in Japan.
