Today’s Yokohama Brillia Short Shorts Theater,
We started from the Children program which you can
enjoy from adult to child.
Each films were like the book moving on the screen.
Simple but unique film from Russia “About a Mother”,
also, very beautiful, animation from France
”The Short Story of A Fox and A Mouse”.
Most people felt that they want to see these short films again!
Followed by the International Program -6
Comedy, thriller, drama, none just unique works!
“Sing” films from Hungary, everyone were attention because
this film awarded the Grand Prix.
Choir of children and finally it was the story that
people also grin, and exhilarating to see!
ofcourse , the childrens were all cute !
Asia International & Japan Competition 5
Mitsuhashi Yuji director of “Lies”
and Mckenzie Sheppard from “MAN IN PHONE” appeared as our guest.
Conversation of three women who have lied to each other.
Original from screenplay of the theater,
Mitsuhashi liked & make it to a film.
In the question from the audience ,
scene of washing the face remained in the impression.
Mitsuhashi said that When the time that women wash her face,
that’s the time when women brings herself back.
One day, there was a man wakes up in the mobile phone!
“MAN IN PHONE”
Shooting in two days, took about two months to edit work.
In this film, Mackenzie wanted to express a clear and
worldview like MAN IN A MOON
When I ask the question,,
If the director got in the mobile ?what would you do?
Mackenzie just laughed and would have in the same thing
as the guy in the movie.
At last, I asked Mitsuhashi director ,
What is the attractive or charm of the short film ?
He said,”Sharpness! “. I see!
Today’s last program was War and Power to Live Program-1
supported by the Red Cross.
People in the war and the past history in this category
tells us how to live,
You can think of what to go and
tell to the next generation through the movie.
Screening the unique film about
John Lennon and the boy interviewer, “I Met The Walrus”
the film awarded in 2008 Academy Award Short Animation Division.
Animation and documentary work was entwined on this films.
