Our last day started with Fashion Shorts and Future Yokohama City.
For Yokohama program, we screened “Entre Les Lignes”, the winner of Yokohama City Award. It’s very heartwarming, and I hope people in Yokohama will continue to have nice romances like the one in the story.
Our very last program was Focus on Belgium.
We welcomed director Stephane Everaert of “Loose Ends”.
It’s a comedy about an old man wanting to go to heaven, but angel says “no”. There was a question from audience about a scene where the old man goes through reincarnation. Everaert mentioned his point was not about religious thoughts, nor about destiny. It’s about choosing your own future.
It was a comedy short, like Everaert himself is very funny and entertaining, the story included many messages. I could tell that the audience enjoyed their time with him so much! We could’ve talked for another hour.
Our ends was not loose. Was perfect!
And Thank you all who came to enjoy shorts with us!
We screened for 21 days, starting June 3rd. It was our pleasure to have all the audience, and special thanks to those who came up with great questions in post-screenings. I love to be interactive, and am looking forward to have more next year!
And to those, this was your first time to watch shorts, I hope you enjoyed it. Yokohama Brillia Short Shorts Theater is the theater just for shorts. We are screening shorts throughout the year, so please come and enjoy more shorts. We would love to see you again soon.
