A mother and her child. A funeral home. A closed casket. “Mom, when I close my eyes I can see daddy”. “That’s good, that way you can remember him”. “But I see him ugly, in the car, with stuff missing out of his face, like his eyes and his teeth. And there is a lot of blood, and I cry, and... I’m afraid to close my eyes, mommy. I need to see him. Now.”
Director : Daniel Sánchez Arévalo
Daniel has been a professional screenwriter since 1993. He started out on acclaimed TV series such as: ‘Farmacia de Guardia’, ‘Querido Maestro’ and ‘Hospital Central’. Having been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship, he completed an MFA at Columbia University, New York, where his career as a film director began. His early career as a filmmaker is backed by fifteen short films which have managed to accumulate more than 200 awards.
