The Smell

The Smell (Ghraan) is a film about rediscovering the relationship between father and a son. Ahkam, now a father himself, recalls snapshots of his childhood and remembers his childish behavior towards his poor father. This eventually brings him to an understanding of fatherhood.

Director : S M Kamrul Ahsan
Born in Sirajganj, his parents were both teachers. In his teens, he got a Russian Zorki camera and fell in love with film. After graduation, he moved to Dhaka in 1997. He participated in the 1st Film appreciation course at World Literature Centre Film Circle, Dhaka, and started his carrier as a Cinematographer in 2003.
