On an Icelandic island, over the course of one night, we follow teenagers Birta and Selma as they take it upon themselves to counteract humanity's impact on nature; exchanging night-time parties for puffin rescues. A coming-of-age documentary about growing up and making choices, Puffling explores the delicate interplay between wildlife, the environment, and human life.

Jessica Bishopp is a UK-based award-winning director and documentary filmmaker fascinated by subcultures, myth and our connection to place. Recently her Rooftop Films, IF/Then and Field of Vision supported documentary short film, Puffling, had its World Premiere at SXSW 2023 and went on to win the Oscar-Qualifying Jury Award for Documentary at Aspen Shortsfest.
