The J-WAVE SOUND OF CINEMA Award is given to a film selected from the offi cial competition for its unique and effective role of “sound” such as music, songs, voices, sounds, and instruments. Please enjoy the short films nominated for this award and the talk event by Tetsuya Bessho, festival representative and J-WAVE TOKYO MORNING RADIO navigator.

(日本語) Netflix アニメ「キャロル&チューズデイ」主題歌アーティスト、チューズデイのシンガーボイスを担当して世界的に大きな話題を呼んだ、シンガーソングライター Celeina Ann。
日本人の父とアメリカ人の母の間に生まれ、音楽好きの父親の影響で中学生の頃からギターと作詞を始める。2014年に自身の YouTube 公式チャンネルに洋楽カバーをアップし注目を集めた。
アジアを中心にライブを精力的に行うなど、海外での人気も獲得している。2020 年に自身が主宰するクリエイティブプラットフォーム “Gold Plant Records”を設立。過去には、日本テレビ系ZIP!「あおぞらキャラバン」へ出演や、音楽専門チャンネルSpace Shower TV「International Flash」のVJ を担当。

Tetsuya Bessho

In 1990, he made his Hollywood debut in the Japanese-American co-production film Crisis 2050. He is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
Since then, he has been active across a wide range of media, including film, television, theater, and radio, with notable stage appearances in productions such as Les Misérables and Miss Saigon.
Since 1999, he has served as the founder and president of Short Shorts Film Festival, Japan’s first international short film festival, for which he received a Commissioner for Cultural Affairs Award.
He has also been appointed as a VISIT JAPAN Ambassador by the Japan Tourism Agency, a member of the Film Classification and Rating Committee, and an expert advisor for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' “JAPAN HOUSE” initiative.
He was selected by the Cabinet Office as one of the Japanese individuals who actively promote “Japan” on the global stage.
He is the recipient of the 1st Tokiko Iwatani Award for Encouragement and the 63rd Yokohama Culture Award.
