Mr. Hikaru Takai, a screenwriter known for his work on the Silent Service series, is also an expert in an original story analysis method based on a refined version of the Hollywood-style beat sheet. He is frequently commissioned to analyze commercial films and conducts numerous in-house seminars for companies.
As part of SSFF & ASIA’s “Book Shorts” (a short story contest), which expanded last year to include screenplays in addition to prose, Mr. Takai will share insights on how to adapt traditional stories—like classic folktales—into compelling secondary creations. He will explain how to build effective plots and structures to transform source material into engaging narratives.
This seminar is a must-see for filmmakers, producers, and aspiring screenwriters involved in visual storytelling!
(In Japanese language only.)
