The opening ceremony of this year’s festival will be held at TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY, a large-scale urban development project in the Shinagawa area, where the town opening took place on 27 March 2025.

TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY is an “experimental hub looking ahead to a prosperous100 years into the future,” carrying forward the historical legacy of Takanawa as the gateway to Edo. It has a “history of innovation” from 150 years ago when Japan’s first railway bridged over the sea in this area. It is a place designed to continuously foster new innovations and cultural developments into the next century.
