SSFF & ASIA Screening in Malaysia Report
The Screening of SSFF & ASIA at the MBKS Auditorium in Sarawak, Malaysia was a success! Nadira Ilana, who directed “Were the Sun and the Moon to Meet”, and the Mayor, who sponsored the Auditorium, joined the event. It was nice to screen it in a Auditorium and see how the audience reacted face-to-face, Under COVID-19 precautions.
In Malaysia it is separated between the West Island (Malay Peninsula) and the East Island (Borneo). It meant a lot to Director Nadira Ilana, who comes from Sabah which is at the top of the Borneo, to attend an event in Borneo. The audience and her discussed how more filmmakers and creators from the East island can actively participate in the film world, at the Q&A.
