The Trailer for “Mom’s Celestial Robe of Feathers” has been released!
The trailer for “Mom’s Celestial Robe of Feathers”, a short film based on a project which invited young writers to write short stories inspired by traditional Japanese folktales and myths.
This year’s project will focus on Okinawa, Kumamoto, and Hiroshima prefectures.
At the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA) 2021 Autumn Festival held in October 2021, a panel discussion was held inviting the authors of the short stories. A short film adaptation of “Mom’s Celestial Robe of Feathers” was made.
The short film “Mom’s Celestial Robe of Feathers” will premiere at SSFF & ASIA 2022 in Yomiuri Land, and will also be released worldwide online. This year commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the return of Okinawa Prefecture to mainland Japan on May 15, 2022.
“Mom’s Celestial Robe of Feathers” is set in Okinawa.
