Konomi Festival in Basel (April 27 & 29): Experience Japanese Short Films & Sake Pairing

Following last year’s success, we are excited to announce a two-day event pairing Japanese sake with short films directed by Japanese filmmakers from SSFF & ASIA! This special event will take place during the “Konomi Festival,” a celebration of Japanese culture held in Basel, Switzerland.

Day 1: April 27th – “Between Screen and Encounter” (Zwischen Bildschirm und Begegnung) The first evening features four selected short films that explore the growth and daily lives of young people in Japan. These works depict the contrast between metropolitan and provincial life, digital distractions, and the warmth found in personal proximity—a portrayal of the shifting emotions in modern Japanese youth.
