Five Japanese short films were introduced in which two shorts, “Pieces of the Future” and “A Warm Spell” were provided by SSFF & ASIA.

A large interest in Japanese short films was shown among the local press and about 150 audience members.

At the end of each film screening, a huge applause was heard and there was a great reaction to “Pieces of Future”, which dealt with the theme of The Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami that hit Japan in 2011.

Mr. Hassan Dezvareh of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society gave a speech regarding the short films, and introduced SSFF & ASIA to the audience.

We hope that this kind of visual culture event in Iran continues, and that in Japan also, we will have more opportunities to see and learn about

Iranian cinema, as its reputation gets higher and higher in recent years, winning awards at international film festivals and at the Academy Awards.
