(CINEMA MUSEUM) Recommended Program! Audience Choice Short Film Program
Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia holds a tie-up event with Tokyo International Film Festival each fall, with the aim of spreading the word about short film and supporting up-and-coming filmmakers. This year we will screen 6 programs, including the SSFF & ASIA 2015 Grand Prix winner and a selection of short films on the theme of art. In addition, there will be a workshop for creators and other events to look forward to.
Staff will be introducing recommended events and screenings in the run up to the festival ♪
This time it is the Audience Choice Short Film Program
A lineup of works by talented filmmakers that have received SSFF & ASIA Audience Awards, as chosen by popular vote. “The Interviewer” is an Australian film produced by Bus Stop Films, an inclusive non-profit organization that helps people with disabilities learn about and be involved in professional film making. “Gotham Jumble Parfait” stars actor Masaya Kato.

Synopsis:Thomas is a lawyer looking for a chance to make a difference in the world. He gets the opportunity to interview at a prestigious law firm for his ‘dream-job’ working in the pro-bono department. But his chance to make a difference comes in an unexpected way.
Gotham Jumble Parfait
Synopsis:A Yakuza-like man splattered with blood sits face-to-face with a younger man dripping with cream soda. A gun on the table and a dead body on the floor. There’s also an older waitress and a black customer. Confusion mounts as the man orders four parfaits.
