Short film \u201cWhat is REAL\u201d produced by SSFF & ASIA and presented by Nestl\u00e9 Japan is going to be screened as world premiere at Kaohsiung Film Festival in Taiwan on October 28th. The director, Koto Nagata and a cast, the former member from Comic Boyz, Figaro TSENG will be in person for the screening event.<\/p>\n

The director, Koto Nagawa had been an assistant director of Shunji Iwai in the film All About Lily Chou-Chou<\/em> and Hana and Alice<\/em> like the director Isao Yukisada was. After her directorial debut in 2004, TV drama series in 2013 was big hit in China and other Asian countries.<\/p>\n

She would like to depict human thinking and the importance of human connection through passing by the people who live in a world with excessive information. Her work would touch the dark side of the characters, but with tender, considerate way just like a warm sunlight, lighting the shadow, and shows female director\u2019s delicate perspective.<\/p>\n

The casts, Figaro TSENG, a popular actor in Taiwan, Yoji Tanaka, an experienced Japanese actor and Mina Fujii who starts widening her acting career in Asia makes this short film international. The story is about a Taiwanese photographer who goes to Japan for his love, just wants to give a birthday surprise to his girlfriend. But that day, her reaction is cold, the sweet of love seems stopped. He decides to visit mountain in her hometown alone to breathe the fresh air and he meets a mysterious man…<\/p>\n

After the premier at Kaohsiung Film Festival, this short film will be on the Nestl\u00e9 Japan’s owned media, Nestl\u00e9 Theater<\/a>. *Japan limited.<\/p>\n
