They will be showing as the \u201cAcademy Awards Short Film Program\u201d at Brillia Short Shorts Theater, the short film specialist cinema in Yokohama\u2019s Minatomirai, from February 17 (Wed) until March 14 (Mon).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One title to look out for is Michael Dudok de Wit\u2019s \u201cFather and Daughter\u201d. This film was winner of the Academy Awards Best Animated Short in 2001, and was awarded numerous accolades at film festivals around the globe. It is a powerful non-dialogue short that is animated with a delicate touch. The soundtrack, played principally on accordion and piano, is also something that lingers with you long after the film has ended. \u201cThe Phone Call\u201d, starring popular British actress Sally Hawkins, nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2014, is another title that will be screened.
