In this project, directors who are selected by SSFF & Asia photograph fascinating and charming pictures of Tokyo. A film collage featuring these images is then produced and shown at SSFF & Asia.

Casts

Mari Natsuki

She debuted in 1973. From the 80s, she expanded her activity to the theater, receiving awards such as the Minister of Education's Art Encouragement Newcomer Award. In 1993 she started the conceptual art theater, "Impressionists," and received the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award for her achievements therein. In 2009, she established the "One of Love Project" charity. In 2015, she released the mini-album, "Asa wa Ringo wo Tabenasai." On top of that, she also released "Kurenai no Purorogu" with the women's chorus unit "and ROSEs." In November, "PLAY×PRAY" is scheduled to be held at Kiyomizu-dera's "kyodo" as a cultural dedication.

Fuka Koshiba

She was born on April 16th, 1997. In 2011, she won the Grand Prix "Girls' Audition 2011." In 2012, she debuted as an actress on the Fuji Television drama "Iki Mo Dekinai Natsu." She won the Blue Ribbon Newcomer Award for her performance in a live action 2014 version of "Kiki's Delivery Service." Afterward, she expanded her work in drama, movies, and theater. In 2016, she became a topic of conversation after appearing as Asa's daughter, Chiyo Shiraoka, in the NHK morning drama series, "Asa Ga Kita." Currently, she appears as Riri Akikawa, the new health teacher at the elementary school in the Fuji Television Thursday drama series, "Hayako Sensei, Kekkon Suru-tte Hontou Desu Ka?"

Geon Kim (Korea)

In 2008, Kim Geon entered the Korea National University of Arts and filmed “Keep Going” as his graduation project. His past works, “I'm Sorry, I'm Late,” and “Pokerface Girl,” were selected for several film festivals.

Kaitlin Tinker (Australia)

Kaitlin Tinker is an award-winning Australian visual artist and director who works with a multitude of mediums, including film, performance art, and VFX design. Her cinematic eye, feverish determination and theatre background allow her to create dramatic, colorful, and memorable works with a distinct psychosexual bent.

Kaiyu Chang (Taiwan)

Kaiyu is an award-winning filmmaker from Taiwan. He directs for commercials and reality television, as well as short films. He looks at the world from a special point of view and always finds a bit of humor along the way.

Kristof Deak (Hungary)

Kristof Deak made a career as an editor before studying directing at the Westminster Film School. He works in London and Budapest, directing fiction short films and TV programs. He is currently developing his first feature film.

Pia Shah (India)

Pia Shah explores the cusp of old-world and new age. She graduated from Jai Hind College, Mumbai and went on to study film-making in New York. Her thesis short “I’m Afraid I Am Hitler” won several awards and screened at international film festivals. Her feature script "A Story of Two" was part of NFDC India's National Script Lab.
