【6/13 Sun】U-25 Project 2 Screening at Shibuya, TORQUE

At Torque, Shibuya we held a screening of U-25 Project 2 and Shibuya Diversity Program.

As our guests we had the honor of meeting the young directors of the project, Takuro Ichiji and Konomi Onozato!

Mr. Ichiji who directed “WHATEVER YOU WANT IT TO BE” is currently studying at Beijing Film Academy. This short film was part of his homework for school. He talked about how this came to be when he realized how many people, including himself, were staring at a screen every day. When asked about what his next goal would be, he said that he wanted to make a film that would influence many people and especially help those who are struggling with mental illnesses.

Ms. Onozato who directed “The Love Formula” is currently in high school. This is her first ever film to write and direct, with the help from her friends. When asked about why she made this film, she said that she wanted to make a film where the audiences would think about the LGBTQ+ community. She also stated that she aspires to be a director who inspires people around the world.

The next screening at TORQUE@Shibuya is on 6/18 (fri) from 17:30 but there will be other screenings in other areas!
