The Committee has selected five jurors, each from diverse industry backgrounds with unique points of view. Jnrors will select 7 awarded films: 1 Grand Prix, the Best Shorts and the Special Mentions for each category.

Junko Koshino received "The 7th SO-EN Award" in 1960 and nine years later she opened up the boutique Collette in Aoyama, Japan. In 1978, she debuted her Junko Koshino Paris Collection in Paris. She also designed uniforms for the Government Pavilion at the Tsukuba Expo in 1985 and, in the same year, had the Junko Koshino Fashion Show in Beijing, China. Four years later, Galerie Junko Koshino was in Paris. In 1992 she opened another boutique, Junko Koshino Design Gallery in New York. In the early 90's Junko created numerous designs such as the training jackets for the Yomiuri Giants, baseball team, Keshomawashi for the sumo wrestlers Takanohana and Wakanohana. In 1995 she designed uniforms for the football team Yomiuri Verdy. More rencently, she has been active designing original wear for the leaders in the Okinawa Summit and costumes for the opera "Madame Butterfly." Last year she designed costumes for the Broadway musical "Pacific Overtures" and was nominated for a Tony award in the best costume design category.

Hiroyuki Nakano, recognized for his work in music videos, creates images inducing a sense of peace. Born in Hiroshima prefecture in 1958, he established Tyrell Corporation after working for a TV company for 5 years.
While Nakano continues to make music videos, he also shows his video-based artwork internationally in various countries including Brazil and France. Since he established Peacedelic in 1993 he has been completely absorbed in searching for images that will somehow make his audience feel pleasant. Nakano received several awards for SF SAMURAI FICTION (1998), his first theatrical film. He further established his reputation as a great filmmaker with subsequent films including SF STEREO FUTURE, RED SHADOW, SF SHORT FILMS, and many others. Hiroyuki continues to work as a director in various media: films, music videos, commercials, natural imagery and art.

Yasuki Hamano is a professor at the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences at the University of Tokyo. His research areas include media, theory, content research and development. His work also explores a broad range of phenomena-related media expressions. He graduated from the International Christian University, where he also received his M.A. He received his Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Tokyo. In addition to serving on a specialist committee with the Strategic Council on Intellectual Property, Hamano has also been a member of the steering committee for the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Media Arts Festival, and has chaired the screening committee for the AMD Award sponsored by the Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, Post and Telecommunication. He is a director of the Akira Kurosawa Foundation and a trustee of the Tokuma Memorial Cultural Foundation for Animation. His major publications are "Business of Content (Hyogen no Bujinesu) " 2003, and " Imitating Japan "(Mohou sareru Nippon), 2005.

JORGE MAGAA MOLINA is the Coordinator of International Festivals at the Film Culture Promotions department at IMCINE, the Mexican Film Institute. Born in Mexico City in 1976, Jorge earned a B.A. in Communications (Journalism) from the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (95-98). He received an Honorary Mention for his professional exam and thesis: The Mexican Short Film Today (Mexican Film Institute 1990-1997). Jorge has collaborated on and edited several articles about show business, culture and film. Jorge served as Assistant to the Department of International Markets at the Office of Film Distribution at IMCINE from February 2000 to July 2001 when he took on his current role as Coordinator of International Festivals. He has curated several programs of feature and short films in various countries and has attended international festivals as a special guest and jury member.

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1969. Marcia came to Japan in 1986 with strong desires to become a singer. She trained under the composer Kosho Inomata (deceased) and debuted with It is Yokohama if it Turned Around in 1989. Her overwhelming skill as a singer won Marcia 15 music awards that year, including best rookie of the year from the Japan Record Grand Prix. While performing as a singer at concerts, dinner shows, and on television, Marcia has also displayed her many talents on televised variety shows and dramas. In 2001, she took the stage in her first musical Jekyll & Hyde and won the rookie of the year award for Cultural Affairs Art Festival in the play category. She has since performed in many huge musicals such as Les Miserables and Urine Town . Marcia continues to act on stage and work in a wide range of fields.

To support Japan's young emerging filmmakers, Asahi Super Dry and the Short Shorts Film Festival will provide a scholarship program to the winner. This program includes 3,000,000 yen to make another short film and other valuable support such as helping to enter the film in prominent film festivals around the world!
