Four films from SSFF & ASIA 2015 will screen at Winter Film Awards Independent Film Festival in the USA!
Winter Film Awards Independent Film Festival will be held for two weeks, from 18th (Thu) to 26th (Fri) February in New York, USA and four short films screened at SSFF & ASIA 2015
have been chosen for the official selection. The selected films are Goro Ushijima’s documentary “Colors of Life,” Kosai Sekine’s “IVAN IVAN,” Atsushi Mishima’s “Achiraka World”, which screened in the CG Animation Competition, and Yuki Saito’s “Shabu-Shabu Spirit”, which SSFF & ASIA produced in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
The festival, founded in 2011 and run by an all-volunteer organization, screens many films of various genres from around the world. In addition to the annual festival in February, it hosts between four to six other events during the year, such as the “Comedy Competition” or “48-HR challenge”, which encourages the local community to create a 4-7 minute short film in a specific genre. This year, the festival has selected 86 short and feature films from 26 different countries to screen.
