CINEMA MUSEUM – Special Fall Screening Event - Andaz Tokyo, Day 1
Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia’s CINEMA MUSEUM – Special Fall Screening Event – kicked off today!! We welcomed large audiences at the Andaz Tokyo venue for both the “Academy Awards® and Cannes Film Festival Award-Winning Short Film Program” and “Jury Choice Short Film Program.”
We screened a diverse selection of shorts, one of which was “SHARE,” a film that addresses the contemporary issue of non-consensual porn through the story of one high school girl and was awarded the Cannes Cinéfondation Competition top prize. Another was “Helium,” the heartwarming story of a hospitalized boy and a janitor, which won the Academy Awards® Best Short Film (Live Action) in 2014. All attendees seemed to enjoy the variety of films. Tomorrow, four days of screenings will begin at Tokyo Metropolitan Museum in Ueno. Here there will be many more films screening, all free of charge, so please be sure to come along!
