The Academy announced the shortlists for Live action short film.

Following the announcement of shortlist for Documentary short subject, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science announced the shortlists for Live action short film and animated short film. The winner of SSFF & ASIA 2017, “Sing” by Kristof Derek is proudly included in the short list of live action short film.

Among the qualified 137 short films, it has been narrowed to 10 films. Short Films and Feature Animation Branch members will select five nominees from the shortlist. Branch screenings will be held next month in Los Angeles, London, New York and San Francisco. Nominee will be announced on January 24th, 2017.
