Samson “Rambo” Vaotu'ua (27) and Ian Leaupepe (26) are New Zealand-born Samoan filmmakers based in South Auckland. 'My Friend Michael Jones' is their first professional short film project. In October 2018, 'My Friend Michael Jones' became an Oscar qualifier; winning 3 awards at Academy Award-accredited Show Me Shorts Film Festival.
