Fishes
@ Mirek Nisenbaum / 2:00 / Animation / USA / 2003
Drunken fishes sing amidst sinking objects from a famous boat... An underwater animation about the wild life of the deep sea.

@ Mirek Nisenbaum
Mirek Nisenbaum graduated in fine arts from the Minsk Arts Academy in 1989. That same year, he left his homeland of Belarus and, after spending some time in Vienna and Rome, moved to the US in 1990. He received a B.A. in communications design from the Connecticut Institute of Art in 1993. He has held several art director positions, and in 2000, he founded Studio Mobile.

The Allotment
@ Dan Williams / 3:35 / Animation / UK(Wales) / 2002
The Allotment tells the simple tale of friendship, the environment and regeneration.

@ Dan Williams
Since graduating from the Royal College of Art, London in 1989, Dan Williams has worked as an illustrator in the fields of editorial, publishing and reportage. "The Allotment" is his first animation. Originally an idea for a children's book, Dan decided there was more scope for telling the story through moving image. It is a tale of friendship, regeneration and hope, produced by traditional animation techniques.

Mujaan
@ Christopher McKee / 23:00 / Documentary / USA / 2004
On the distant steppes of Mongolia, using only simple tools, strength and ingenuity, a Mongolian nomad builds a home much the way his ancestors have for a thousand years. hMujaanh (The Craftsman) is a vivid window to a disappearing way of life in one of the most remote corners of the world.

@ Christopher McKee
With degrees in both Film Production and English Literature from Boston University, filmmaker Chris McKee set off to teach English for the Peace Corps in Mongolia from 1996 to 1998. His official adventure completed, he returned to his hometown of San Francisco to work on independent films. Chris says that the craftsman who stars in gMujaanh was gthe strongest, most centered man I'd ever met.h Unlike city-dwellers who are disconnected from their natural environment, when the craftsman gwalked outside he saw what he needed to survive everywhere around him. It was amazing to me.h

Look at Life
Directed by George Lucas
@ George Lucas / 1:15 / Experimental / USA / 1965
A montage of photos made for an animation class at the University of Southern California.

@ George Lucas
GEORGE LUCAS (Writer/Director, Executive Producer) first attracted attention for his filmmaking abilities as a student at the University of Southern California, when his short film Electronic Labyrinth THX 1138 4EB, which he would later transform into his first feature, won the top award at the National Student Film Festival. His next feature, the low-budget American Graffiti (1973), became the most successful film of its time. But it was Lucas' third film, 1977's Star Wars, that changed everything and became an international phenomenon. Lucas created his own visual effects company, Industrial Light & Magic, to make his vision a reality.

Lucas has been storywriter and executive producer of box-office hits including The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and he created the adventurer Indiana Jones. Lucas returned to directing in 1999 with Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. Three years later, Episode II Attack of the Clones, was the first major live-action movie to be shot entirely digitally. Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, released this year, completes Lucas's Star Wars saga.
