Hiro Takaoka of "Once More" | Yusukue Seto of "Sou | Mian Adnan Ahmad of "Heal" |
While the balloting for the Audience Award continues, we had an excellent screening of the Asia International & Japan Prog E. A good crowd was on hand & several of them let fly with some Q's that clearly indicated that they were watching closely to each short.
Director Takaoka was asked about setting the story in the future and NOT using any CG to depict it. He told us that he simply used a house on the beach as the location because no matter how far into the future we go, there's ALWAYS going to be a cool house on the beach. Exactly!
Director Seto was asked about his 2 leads not shaking hands and giving his short a happy ending and he replied that he wanted to show what people are really like with his ending. We all act one way while we are really thinking another way, don't we. Exactly!
Finally, director Ahmad was asked if he really shot his film in Pakistan. Good question and good answer. he informed us that of course, since it's a short film on a short budget, he shot it all in L.A. where he lives. He fooled quite a few of us so good job, Mian! Yes!
Man, that was fun!!
See-ya!
