Once upon a time in the middle of nowhere there was a farmhouse. Two seniors lived there. Long, long ago they truly loved each other. Now their life is nothing but a routine. This is a story based on a true story. This is a story about loneliness. About endless aspirations in life. And pancakes.

A man enters a photo booth. He inserts some coins and the flash fires. When the photo strip is printed and the man looks at it, he cannot believe what he sees. Something totally unexpected is happening.

Things of worth are often neglected in favor of that which is more immediately gratifying. Unfortunately, things that are neglected are often lost forever. The life of a misguided and intensely focused man, chronicled through his oral obsessions.

Over presents a crime scene. During the course of 9 wide shots (told in reverse order), we watch an intriguing story unfold. What has happened in this quiet neighborhood? A murder, a hit-and-run, an accident? The reality is both profound, and deeply unexpected.

During a bike ride in the countryside, two kids witness the murder of a wounded pigeon by their uncle. Not understanding what just happened, they both share their feelings with their murderous uncle. They will get quite a surprising conclusion out of this.

Timmy is a look-out in the military. As a diversion from her tiring surveillance work, she creates an imaginative, childish world, which sets her apart in a mundane routine. When she has to deal with the real military world for the first time, her own world is shattered and undermined.

Washingtonia is an alternative name for Athens, a place where people, like animals, fall into summertime sadness because of the heat. Washingtonia is the only palm tree whose heart is not devoured by the red beetle. Because it's heart is small and dry and no one likes small and dry hearts.
