About Xavier Dolan:
He is 26 years old, born March 20, 1989 in Quebéc, Canada. At the age of 6 he began appearing in various popular children’s roles on television dramas and commercials, and later voiced the character of Stan in the French language version of the animation series “South Park.” He wrote his first screenplay at the age of 17 for a film titled “I Killed My Mother,” and this became his directorial debut in 2009 at the age of 19. The film was selected for the Director’s Fortnight program of the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. He made a brilliant debut, shocking the film industry that went on to comment on how long it had been since the emergence of a new young genius (Dolan was 20 at the time). The film received the Prix Regards Jeunes, a C.I.C.A.E Award and the SACD Prize (Directors’ Fortnight).

He has continued writing, directing and starring in many award winning films, including “Heartbeats” (2010), “Lawrence Anyways” (2012), “Tom at the Farm” (2013).
