Discover Beauty Program
The Short Shorts Film Festival 2022 once again is proud to present our Discover Beauty Program, a program that draws attention to the natural & aesthetic beauty of Japan & its culture as we focus on the concepts of beauty around the world.
The 3rd film in the program is “Kapaemahu,” an animated short from 2020. The film is about the culture, mysticism & beauty of Hawaiian culture & was made in a collaborative effort by Native Hawaiian educator & cultural expert Himaleimoana Wong-Kalu & filmmaker activists Dean Hamer & Joe Wilson.
Online screenings now through 06/30: { https://shortshorts.org/2022/en/program/cultural/t-moko-behind-the-tattooed-face/}
