Eddie Alcazar

With training in VFX and Animation Film Theory, Writer, and unconfined by genre, Director Eddie Alcazar's multi-technique approach to visual storytelling is an exploration of undiscovered cinematic territories. In THE VANDAL (Cannes, 2021), Presented By Darren Aronofskv. Alcazar's film about one man's tormented search for peace after traumatic loss and the destructive awakening of his creativity that results. Alcazar coined the term "Meta-Scope" to describe the intensively layered process needed to achieve the final affect. Alcazar's unique approach to filmmaking allows for immense collaboration with his cast and crew, making room for plavfulness/discoverv while keeping the focus on entertainment. Alcazar's attraction to investigate the often-darker human instincts that drive individual behavior in his storylines reflect his curiosity about our connection to empathy, and those awakenings which can occur when great trauma disrupts our norm.
