An animation over 45 years in the making, Wings to the Sun is an artistic depiction of a ceremony held by the people of an ancient community living on a vast plateau. During the ceremony the community offers its most precious possession to their revered Sun God.

Ken Mimura

Ken Mimura was born in Kobe, Japan in 1941. In 1967, he immigrated to Canada where he was mentored by Norman McLaren. He moved to LA and worked as a producer and designer at Hana Barbara and Disney. In 1993, he moved to Vancouver, BC and completed his animated film Wings to the Sun.
