“The Chemical Factory” threads lingering effects of the Chinese Cultural Revolution within the Chinese diaspora in America to the spate of anti-Asian hate crimes during the Covid 19 Pandemic. An immigrant mother retraces her formative years during the tumultuous 1950’s China to her American son.

Drew Leung
Andrew “Drew” Leung is a Los Angeles based concept designer and filmmaker. His more recent work includes Disney’s live-action version of The Lion King, Mulan, Black Panther, and Amazon Studios The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power. He currently lectures at the University of California Los Angeles.
