Hey folks.
We’re back now after a 3-day break from screening for our final 4 days here at Laforet Museum in the heart of Harajuku. Laborite is a sort of mecca for young Japanese fashion & many many foreigners make this a “must” stop during their stays in Tokyo. We’re up on the 6th floor in the cozy Museum event space & it always feels like coming home again. The familiar faces of the great hall staff & sound&vision team always sets our minds at ease & we know we can finish our run here problem free & enjoyably.
The 1st program was there International Program F with shorts from Poland, Norway, Switzerland, Mexico, France & Hungary. We had director Tetyana Stang Lund & her producer husband Emil Stang Lund here representing their cute, over-the-top, fairy tale-gone-bad short film “Pink Armageddon.” When asked Tetyana revealed that the young girl playing Filipa, the heroine of the short was a “professional” child actor & she was a dream to work with. Producer Emil told us that it was all shot in a sound studio with a few exterior shots.
They seem to have really taken a liking to Japan & Tetyana promised that if she were to win the “Audience Award,” she would use the ¥200,000 prize to come back to Japan! Good luck Tetyana!
Lots more until Sunday all, come down & see us!
