The next world war is looming and threatens the entire world. A young Self-Defense official, Hikaru Azumi, has suddenly been selected on a special mission. To avoid battle, he forces himself to travel to the edge of the world with major-general Yamasaki. Hikaru stands on a watch house on the grounds of the beautiful sacred beach that holds the "key". In his mind, appears the image of Chika, his former love. One day, Hikaru encounters an old woman who tells him "It's the dawn of the end...". How will Hikaru find the truth behind these words? And the future...

Born in 1982 in Tokyo Prefecture. During high school, she studied in London, and after graduating from the Slade School of Fine Art in London, moved to study cinematography in New York. She worked as an assistant director, then made her debut as a director / screenwriter with "A Piece of Our Life" in 2010. In 2011, she published her first novel "0.5 mm"(Gentosha) which she later adapted into a feature film "o.5 mm" as director / screenwriter in 2014. The film recieved The 39th Hochi Film Award for Best Picture, The 69th Mainichi Film Award for Best Screenplay, Best Director Award at Shanghai International Film Festival etc. She now lives in Kōchi Prefecture and is a mother to one child.
