Kaiju Girl

Several days have passed since kaiju, or a giant monster, appeared in Tokyo. When Himika, an eighth grader, and Mizuki, a misfit in her class, share the same dream of the monster attacking their town, their friendship begins. But Himika holds a secret that she can't confide in Mizuki. A tale of the girls' journey of growth.

Director
Takafumi Sakabe
He was grown up, watching Godzilla and Star Wars in his childhood. He moved to the U.S.A. in 2013 and studied filmmaking in NY and LA. After graduating, he works as a director and photographer.
Upon return to Japan, he created music videos, web commercials, and short films, earning many awards at both domestic and overseas film festivals.
