The three judges for the CG Competition, now in its 5th year, have been confirmed. They are: the animation directors Seiji Mizushima and Takashi Yamazaki, and President, Digital Hollywood University, Tomoyuki Sugiyama. For this year’s CG Competition, organized in collaboration with Digital Hollywood Co., LTD., a promoter of creators in the worldwide Contents Industry, we received 217 submissions from 29 different countries around the globe. From these, 20 excellent works (from 9 different countries) that showcase the best newly evolved CG techniques will be screened. In addition, “NUE,” the winner of the Digital Hollywood DIGITAL FRONTIER GRAND PRIX 2015 “Best CG Animation Award,” will be shown as a Special Screening. Please look forward to seeing the latest films from creators literally overflowing with talent.
The Best Short Award for the CG Animation Competition, to be announced at the Awards Ceremony held at Shibuya Hikarie Hall on Monday 15th June, will receive a prize of JPY 600,000.
