The ceremony to close the film festival.
For our 25th Anniversary in 2023, the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia looks to “UNLEASH” the film festival, while respecting the history and experience that we’ve accumulated over the years. UNLOCK CINEMA / UNLOCK YOURSELF / UNLOCK THE WORLD as the key themes, we will present a film festival experience that “UNLOCKs” from existing concepts.
At the award ceremony, which will end our 2023 festival, 5 award-winning films will be eligible for consideration at the following year’s Academy Awards® the 5 Best Short Awards are from the International, Asia International, Japan, Animation and Non-Fiction Competitions. Also announced will be the Best Short Award from the Smartphone Film Competition supported by Sony’s Xperia.
