Domo arigato gozaîmasu to the founders, the director, the programmers, the organizers, their incredible staff, to DJ John, to Aki and of course all the volunteers (whom I call The Angels). You have made my stay in Tokyo a memorable one. I am extremely proud and very honoured to receive the prestigious Award for Best Actor. I wish to thank FRED for a most gracefull and beautifull piece of jewelry. I shall wear it with pride and joy. Writing the script of BUDDIES was one of the best ideas I ever had. I would also like to thank the honourable members of the jury, you have made me a very happy man.
This was my first trip to Japan and,well, what can I say...I fell in love with Tokyo and it's people. I hope to come back soon.

FRED Best Actress Award / Lv-Ping
A young lady in despair comes to a beautiful lake. She meets a young man who is a "local." She asks him to take her to the most beautiful place and take pictures of her there.
It's really exciting to attend such an international film festival. To win the first Best Actress Award of SSFF, it's a great honor for me.
During my one-week stay in Tokyo, I really benefit a lot. I made many friends from all over the world. Every detail arranged by SSFF shows professionalism and responsibility, e.g. their reception for international guests, screening and Q&A arrangements, interactive response between each film and the audience, parties, awarding ceremony, work of every single staff of the festival. Every detail impressed me a lot. I hope we filmmakers can produce more quality films to attend future SSFF.
I'd like to thank all the jury members, my director, all the cast, Zonbo Media, my family, my friends, and the audience that support Dark River.
Dear friends, work hard for our dreams. This trophy is best evidence and reward to our hard work.
