SSFF & ASIA 2018 has now started! Opening Ceremony with special guests was held on June 4th
SSFF & ASIA 2018 had its Opening Ceremony at Shibuya Hikarie, Hikarie Hall on June 4th, 2018.
Marking its 20th year, the festival is held from June 4th (Mon) to June 24th (Sun) at 8 venues in Tokyo. The festival has received over 10,000 short films sent from over 130 countries and regions, and about 250 will be shown at the festival.
In this ceremony, the 7th Visual Tourism Award, as well as the Best Short and J-WAVE Award for the Save The Earth! Competition was announced. Short films produced for the 3rd Book Shorts project and the avex digital AWARD was also be introduced.
All the announcements and awards were presented by special guests as members of Japanese pop group JSB Ⅲ, Tokio Emoto, Tatsuomi Hamada, LiLiCo, Tetsuya Bessho and more.
