When Joséphine’s best friend Sylvie is left by her husband, she suggests they go to the movies. Joséphine hopes the outing will lift Sylvie's spirits, but at the end of the film, Sylvie is in tears, unable to speak. What went on in the theatre?

After studying literature and working as a high school teacher, Mathieu Hippeau wrote several scripts for cinema and television. He directed his first short in 2010, then directed a film for the Canal+ Collection “The Leading Part.” “Two Women at the Cinema” is his sixth and latest film.
