With less than 1 month to go from the short-short film festival & launch at Asia, here are some exclusive programs and event information from the films featured at the festival! Today, we will look at the “Community Development through Entertainment”.
Collaboration has been confirmed between The publisher of the Walker Series of street magazines, KADOKAWA’s “entertainment urban regeneration institute”, which takes “urban regeneration through entertainment” as its theme and SSFF & Asia!
On this occasion three themes of “creative”, “music”, and “Kadokawa Film 40th Anniversary” have been settled upon, and will feature guests who are actively engaged in film direction and editing.
Special guests for the “creative” theme are director and producer of television drama, Tsukuda Hisanori, and CG animator, Kota Morie, and they will be talking about live action and animated film-making. For “music”, Suminem film unit’s Masashi Nagazoe will be talking about subjects such as music and film, and music videos. For “Kadokawa Film 40th Anniversary”, three guests, Nobuhiko Obayashi, Tsuyoshi Kobayashi, and Yusuke Nakagawa will looking back on 40 years of Kadokawa film history.
SSFF & ASIA will be collaborating with KADOKAWA, publisher of the popular “Walker” tourism magazine series, to present the Community Development through Entertainment project. With guest lecturers for each of the event’s central themes “creator,” “music,” and “KADOKAWA’s 40th anniversary,” we will be exploring the exploring the power of art and moving images.
