Based on true events, UMIGAME -A Turtle’s Promise- illustrates a coming-of-age story of a boy who grew up in a fishing village next to the Kashima-Nada Sea during the times of Japan's rapid growth. There, villagers share an old legend about the sea turtle.
監督: Yoshio Kuratani
Yoshio produced "Sukiyaki"(1995) as a fist-time producer. The film was invited to London International Film Festival, NYC Independent Film Festival and Fukuoka Asian Film Festival. He has been leading Benten Entertainment, Inc., where he continues producing films. Yoshio directed his first filim in 2008 and has been working both as producer and director since then. His latest work is a Sci-Fi film, "The Hybrid" (2015.)
