It’s come again, the final day of this year’s festival. We did make many many new friends this year. For the 1st time we spread the festival out over the while month of June, showing in 5 different location in addition to our Short Shorts Theater in Yokohama.
FRENCH FILM FESTIVAL – SHORT FILM SELECTION
ACADEMY AWARD SHORTS
Our 2 final programs before 2 special events were both well attended, near sold-out screenings & everyone went away happy with many kind comments & smiles.
The special Visual Tourism Award event started out with appearances by mascots from Gifu, Hokkaido & Ibaraki prefectures. After a 2-minute PR appeal by each, 9 short films from throughout Japan were screened to another full room of short film fans.
The closing ceremony followed & as with our Opening & Awards Ceremonies, it was a lavish affair with a special appearance by highly respected Japanese director Isao Yukisada.
Awards were given for Best Music Short, Best Music Video & the Visual Tourism Award. Please see our web-site for a full listing of award winners!
Thanks to the staff, guest filmmakers, actors & creators & especially all who attended & made this another highly successful & most importantly, just plain fun!
